Midlife isn’t a reinvention - it’s a Rebellion

An inner rebellion of everything we have been taught, sold and shown. We call ourselves Red Rebelles - midlife movement makers.

At age 42 I realized I would have major regrets if I stayed in a career that was killing my soul. So I sold our family of five’s home and went all in on the movement I knew I was being called to lead.

Become a midlife movement maker with us.

I left IBM. I sold the house. I went into debt. I would do it all again.

I spent 25 years in corporate. Vice President of Marketing and Sales at IBM — multiple six figures, bonuses, stock options, the big beautiful home, family of five. And I was miserable. I felt like I was selling my soul.

So in 2018, I made the scary decision to leave. For me to leave and do my life’s work, we had to sell our house. My husband was a police officer at the time, and we lived on his income for years while I built this. For almost two years I made no money at all. I actually went into debt building IGNITE Her®.

No regrets. My soul knew it had to express itself, and I knew in my bones that I was not finished.

That’s where the book came from — 50 Not Finished®. When I learned that fifty is the BEGINNING of answering the call of your purpose, something cracked open in me. For the first half of my life, I was being prepared. Prepared for my ultimate calling. And so have you.

The gold rush is over. The gold age is here.

So I left IBM and started my online business in 2018 because all the Instagram gurus showed me how easy it was to make money online and have freedom. I literally left my recurring paycheck for a false promise.

From about 2014 to 2022, online business industry had its gold rush. A laptop, a Zoom account and a single funnel to freedom. Right? No, definitely not for 90-95% of people like me that bought the lie.

In reality, first to market won, not best in market. A handful of early movers became the celebrity entrepreneurs we all know now, most with no business background at all. They were simply first.

That era is ending. The funnels stopped converting. The guru model is collapsing. And the same celebrity entrepreneurs are walking away from the models they spent a decade selling the rest of us. And many aren’t being honest about why.

The why is this. The market mature - as all markets do. I have been in the business world since I was 18. I have my MBA, I was a business consultant and then hired by one of the top global companies, IBM, to help them grow in emerging markets. I was literally hired to help IBM be entrepreneurial. Be first to market in emerging markets.

I know business. What is happening in the online business industry is normal. It is a maturing market. The gold rush is over. And I am here for it. Now the BEST in market win, not the FIRST to market.

Also, we are entering a new era, from AI to the actual background frequency of the collective shifting.

Two big shifts are happening at the same time:

  • From information to integration — Information used to be the product. Now it’s everywhere and free. The problem was never that you don’t know enough — it’s that you know too much and can’t do anything with it. That’s why the 97-module course sits at 5% complete and never gets finished.

  • From coaching to co-creation — Women don’t want to sit at the feet of someone on a pedestal anymore. They want to stand alongside someone they trust who has actually lived it.

  • Community is no longer the add-on, it IS the program.

And AI is leveling the field underneath all of it. Copy will be written at the highest level for everyone now — so copy stops being the thing that wins. What wins is the human. The intuition. The frequency people came for in the first place. Your aura is your marketing. Your frequency is your funnel.

Also - not sure about you - but I had zero intention of becoming an Instagram influencer or Youtube famous. If you are like me, you came from boardrooms, classrooms, courtrooms and operating rooms - the last thing we are doing is dancing in a 15 min reel trying to go viral.

We are doing this differently at the exact moment that everything is shifting.

What I actually mean by “rebellion”

In order for you and I to truly answer our calling, we must be leading our own inner rebellion.

The rebellions from women over the last hundred years were loud and external — marching in the streets, signs, righteous anger. Much of it online now.

These rebellions mattered of course because we have made progress - SLOW as molasses progress - but progress nonetheless.

But this one is internal. It’s a rebellion against your own inner critic — the voice that’s been fed for centuries, passed down woman to woman to woman, the one that talks mean to you about your body, your worth, what you’re allowed to want.

The rebellion is quieting that voice and stepping into your highest self. The more each of us does that inner work and puts her real voice into the world, the more the world actually changes. From the inside out.

You don’t need to reinvent yourself. You need to recalibrate — the confirmation of who you have always known yourself to be. Your soul already knows. It’s time not to reinvent yourself but to actually get to know your true self. Your divine self. Your highest self.

The tool: the IGNITE Her® Frequencies

I needed something that worked at the level of the individual, because the inner work is deeply individual. The tool I found — and then completely rebuilt — is Human Design.

Traditional Human Design is brilliant and almost unreadable. Esoteric language. A thesaurus required to understand your own chart. So I rewrote it — by a woman, for women — into something grounded and practical and actually usable. I call it the IGNITE Her® Frequencies.

It’s built on the original Human Design, the Gene Keys, and Dr. David Hawkins’ work on frequency, combined with my three decades in business. It is not woo. It’s a clarity tool. It’s also a confidence tool — really, a self-image tool, a way to quiet the inner critic and bring out the inner coach.

And here’s what makes us different from the rest of the Human Design industry: nobody in my community reads anyone else’s chart. We teach each woman to study her OWN design. The words we hear most when a woman finally sees hers are recognition, affirmation and permission.

We took the French feminine spelling on purpose. R-E-B-E-L-L-E. We are the Red Rebelles — women with voices meant to be heard, rising together on Substack. We are midlife movement makers.

Why now? We’re living through a genuine era shift. After roughly 400 years of the masculine, planning-driven frequency running the show, that era is closing and the era of the individual is opening. And we are the generation positioned to lead what comes next — near or over fifty on purpose, not by default. In the new era, lived experience IS the credential.
