A few months ago, on a live coaching call, Lisa E Zimmerman told me she was thinking about starting an online group for women — and she was scared. Scared of the tech, scared of the group, scared of all of it.
I told her what I could see so clearly. They’re waiting for you.
She made the offer. And the women were right there.
Today I went live here on Substack with @Lisa E Zimmerman, and I haven’t stopped thinking about our conversation.
First, you have to know about Lisa. She just did two sessions reading my chart, and I came out of it feeling seen in a way I have never been seen by another human. That’s big. She’ll tell you she’s not really an astrologer like most astrologers — she uses the chart to get to who you came here to be.
And her story — I had no idea. A middle school math teacher in Maryland who ran away to New York City at 24 and became a rock and roll singer. She worked on Paul Simon’s Graceland tour. She got sober at 37, and everything came up. She spent five years in interfaith seminary to heal her broken heart. She built her business word of mouth, sitting on her sofa, and later created live retreats in Colorado.
Then in 2020 she moved to California to finally live with her husband Jeff — and a month later, the world shut down.
For a woman who had always been the ringleader, bringing her people to everything, she suddenly felt alone. She was still doing readings. But she told me she needs to be connected to something greater than herself. It’s what activates her life force.
So she saw a free masterclass, thought “what the heck,” and came into IGNITE Her®.
She calls what she found soul family. I felt it too when I spoke on a stage in front of 500 people I didn’t know, and our 50 women were sitting together in that room. If you’d put a heat map on it, that section was on fire. Ignited.
Now Lisa runs her own circle. Some of her women are in their 70s and 80s — a generation that was never allowed to be the center of anything. When she shares something about one of them in front of the group, she lets that woman be in the spotlight for a minute, in a safe place.
That’s what being seen does.
Lisa listens to the Daily Frequency — the daily mentorship I record every morning for my community, one of the 64 IGNITE Her® Frequencies at a time — in her kitchen while she makes her coffee. She told me it’s the stories that make it stick. And she had something to say about the word “woo.” She calls it baby talk — the word smart women use to distance themselves from something they’re actually connected to. There are real words for this. Esoteric. Mystical. I’ve officially been called out, and I love her for it.
I keep having this vision for 2027. Every woman who feels that pull calling in her own small circle of 20 or 30 women — simple, intimate, her size — and every circle part of something bigger. That’s how I believe the world changes. An inner rebellion, one woman at a time.
When I asked Lisa what she’d tell a woman who wants what she has, she said you need to be connected to something greater if you want to create. And the women who show up in your circle? She believes they don’t show up by accident.
Thank you, Lisa. You’re changing my life too.
xo, Julie
