Chiron - it's not a midlife crisis, it is a calling

50 is just the beginning, despite the story we have been sold

At 42, I was a VP of global marketing & sales at IBM. I looked good on paper.

Amazing career, phenomenal pay, 3 kids, an amazing husband and 2 dogs.

And I was miserable.

And I felt more guilt than you can imagine.

I SHOULD be happy.

That is what I kept telling myself.

But the reality was my light was dimming.

When I made the big, bold move to leave that career and start my own business in 2017 - it was the scariest reinvention and reset.

But in 2025, I want to go back and hug that version of me. I am so grateful to her for the hard she chose and went through so that I could have this life now.

As I continued to master my craft of coaching and mentorship of women, I stumbled across Human Design. I fell in love with the system and it became the tool we use in my company to help women create clarity in their purpose.

In my studies, I learned about Chiron.

The Chiron return happens around 49-51 and it is a calling. It is a rally cry that now is the time that your purpose fully flowers.

I KNEW IT.

I felt in my soul that we don’t start to decline and prepare for retirement at 50. I had this pull that I was just starting.

So many women I talk with feel this deeply as well.

My book 50 Not Finished was born from studying Chiron. It is truly a midlife calling, not a midlife crisis.

But it is a calling we have never been taught to answer. Until now.

My life’s work is helping women answer their Chiron calling. My wish for midlife women everywhere is that they see the possibilities of reinvention, reclamation and redefining what this next chapter can be.

The Chiron era is the Gold Age - not old age.
