DIVINE TIMING

I sat this morning with the second Gene Key in Richard Rudd’s book and the timing was so perfect I felt it in my body. Of course it’s perfect. It’s always divine timing. We are inside the 2-1 energy this week, and this masterclass is different. Yes, we are talking practically about Substack, calling, simple business, Human Design through a practical lens — but underneath every single conversation we are talking about the new era and the feminine frequency rising in all of us.

The second Gene Key is the most archetypically feminine of all sixty-four. The first is masculine — the sun, the great principle of energy and light. The second is the earth. And here is what hit me; if the sun existed in the universe with no earth, its light would never shine upon a thing. Nothing would get created. The earth is what allows the light to do its creation. That’s us. That’s the feminine frequency.

THE RED REBELLES™: AN INNER REBELLION

We are the Red Rebelles. We are leading an inner rebellion, and that inner rebellion is what is going to change the world. The world will not be saved by marching in the streets. It will be saved by an inner revolution — millions of women recalibrating back to their divine design, their universal role, their inner compass.

“When we say the world will be saved by the ignited women, I do not think that is a platitude. I think it is time.”

I feel this in my body. I feel it in my soul. It brings tears to my eyes. This is not a nice idea — this is the assignment.

FROM MISALIGNMENT TO GUIDING LIGHT

Richard Rudd uses the words dislocation, orientation, and unity for the three frequencies of the second Gene Key. I love our words better. When I rewrote the IGNITE Her® Frequencies, I sat with each of the sixty-four and I asked: what resonates in the body? What lands in the soul? Resonance is a vibration. I wanted these words to vibrate.

The shadow of the second is misalignment. The pathway out is recalibration. And the highest frequency is the guiding light.

“Misalignment is a plague over this world. The pathway out is recalibration. And the highest frequency of being her is guiding light.”

RECALIBRATION, NOT REINVENTION

We use the word reinvention a lot. The mind loves it — “I don’t like where my life is, let’s reinvent.” But it is never a reinvention. It is always a recalibration. We were never broken. We were misaligned. There is a difference.

“Reinvention is a sexy word for the mind. But it’s never a reinvention. It’s always a recalibration.”

WHY THE SECOND WAS SUPPOSED TO COME FIRST

There is strong evidence that the earliest versions of the I Ching — a text older than the Bible — began with the second hexagram, not the first. The patriarchal systems that translated the original text swapped the prime Yin for the prime Yang. They put the masculine first.

Esoterically and mythically, it makes far more sense to begin with the feminine. The shadow frequency — the masculine first — becomes the way of distrust, separation, and force. The feminine approach is built on unity, surrender, and trust. Those are the hallmarks of a higher frequency.

I might be biased. But the evidence is right there in the text.

THE BURIED GOSPELS

This is the same pattern as the burying of the gospels of Mary, Thomas, and Philip. Three gospels buried in the sands of Egypt. Ordered to be burned. Ordered to be destroyed by the Roman Empire once Constantine took on Christianity as the empire’s religion.

Why? Because those three gospels say something specific: that the power is within you. That you are already connected to the divine. That you do not need a third party — not a Pope, not a priest, not an institution — to mediate that connection. You are connected directly to source.

Of course that got buried. Of course the I Ching got reordered. None of this serves a hierarchical structure. All of it serves you.

LOST: THE UNIVERSAL DESTINY

Richard Rudd writes that the repressive nature of the second Gene Key shadow is the state of being lost. He believes this is the great majority of humankind. When I read his definition this morning, my eyes burned.

“Being lost describes the state of being out of alignment with your true universal destiny. And our true destiny is to awaken out of selfishness into universality.”

We have a universal destiny. It is our divine design. We are not here by accident. We are not lost because we are broken — we are lost because we have been pulled out of alignment with the design we were born into.

REGIMENTATION: THE REACTIVE SHADOW

The reactive nature of the second shadow is regimentation — people trying to recalibrate us for us. Rudd writes that the world’s great religions and even science fall into the reactive shadow side of the second when they put themselves between an individual and their direct experience of the divine.

This is not to say religion and science are wrong. It is to say they become shadow when they obscure the hidden harmony that lies within an individual. Because the true meaning and purpose of life is only ever found in one place.

MARY MAGDALENE: THE RECEPTIVE

Mary is the most prominent feminine frequency in the entire New Testament. And yet she is barely talked about. Don’t you find that strange? Don’t you find that odd?

It is because it has all been buried. But now it is time.

The feminine is receptive. There is a calmness, an openness, a quality of receiving. That is how Mary connected to the most beautiful source of light — within. Jesus taught her this and she was receptive enough to receive it. That is the frequency.

“The feminine is receptive. There’s a calmness, an openness, a receptiveness. That’s how you connect to the most beautiful source of light. Within.”

PANACHE: UNITY AND UNIQUENESS

Here is the paradox Rudd points to and I love it. As you come more into contact with your unity with all creatures, you also witness an enhancement in your own uniqueness — particularly through your creative process. The second frequency is about uniting matter and spirit. Earth and sun. The receptive and the radiant.

“You begin to enjoy life so much that this rising energy spills over into your life as panache — a unique style that is inimitable and always fresh.”

Unity makes you more uniquely you, not less. That is one of the great secrets the patriarchal frame has obscured.

YOUR BUILT-IN COMPASS

We have a built-in compass. A magnetic guidance system. An inner GPS that always knows the way home to alignment. When we let go into the feminine, yielding quality of this frequency, the more universal power floods through us. And that is the moment we can begin to bring others into their own personal harmony — not by saving them, but by being a guiding light they can recalibrate to.

SUBSTACK WON’T SAVE YOU

Today we are talking all things Substack on day three of the masterclass. And I want you to hear this clearly before we touch a single tactic.

“Substack’s not going to save you. Substack can’t save you. It’s the being doing the doing. Only you can save you.”

If you are not in a good place in awareness, perception, and frequency — Substack cannot help you. Instagram cannot help you. The funnel cannot help you. The platform is the doing. You are the being. The being doing the doing.

And only the being can save you. That comes from a recalibration. From tuning back in to your inner compass. It is already there.

“Only we are the spirit liberator. Only we can set ourselves free.”

THE FIRST AND THE SECOND

Here is what came through me this morning. Metaphorically and archetypically, the first Gene Key is the Christ consciousness — perfect self-expression, the radiant masculine, the sun. The second Gene Key is Mary Magdalene — the receptive, the guiding light, the earth.

Bring them together and you have the whole. The light meets the earth and creation happens. Christ consciousness meets Mary Magdalene and the new era begins.

I believe Richard Rudd is right. I believe the second was supposed to come first — because the guiding light is what brings us into perfect self-expression. The receptive is what makes the radiant possible. We were taught it the other way around. It is time to put it back.

I’m opening this episode with a confession that’s hard to admit but important for me to say to you: the worst mentors and bosses of my 25-year corporate career were women. Not because they were bad humans — but because they were operating inside a 100-year-old corporate system built by men, for men, and rewarded only when they performed masculinity better than the men around them. Did you know women weren’t even allowed to run the Boston Marathon until 1967? That’s not ancient history. That’s 14 years before I was born.

I want to walk you through what that conformity actually looked like for me at IBM — toned-down clothing, zero tolerance for childcare, women I knew putting their kids in boarding school so they could make VP. I’ll tell you about the day I left a meeting that ran two hours over because I was the soccer coach for my six-year-old’s team. The female VP turned to my boss afterward and said, “I thought you said Julie wanted to become an executive.” That moment crystallized something for me: the women in power weren’t leading. They were conforming. And honestly? The male mentors I had gave me more real support than any of the female ones ever did. That still makes me sad to say.

But here’s what I want you to hear: the fix isn’t more women acting like men. It’s a new era — and I believe we’re already at the threshold, with the new cycle officially beginning in 2027. This era is about you, the individual. About intuition over analysis. About frequency over force. About building a business and a life that doesn’t require recreating the corporate hierarchy that broke so many of us in the first place.

The old way is over-tilled soil. Substack is the fertile ground. Here’s the six-figure system I’d build if my whole business burned down tomorrow.

Okay, my friend. Pull up a chair.

I need to talk to you about something I cannot stop thinking about, cannot stop talking about, cannot stop teaching — and quite frankly, I don’t want to.

I’m psycho for Substack.

I joke about it because it’s true. But here’s who I’m actually psycho for: you.

My clients. The woman reading this who is knee-deep in her coaching business — or trying to launch one — and is exhausted. Exhausted by the tech, the tactics, the tools, the algorithms, the “post every day,” the funnels, the lead magnets, the email systems, the course hosting, the webinar software, the landing page builders, the scheduling tools, the graphics, the editing, the private podcast software, the VA you can’t quite afford but can’t live without.

You are not imagining it. The online business space has become madness.

And I’m here to tell you: there is a new way. There is fertile soil. And we are going to plant your business there.

A Quick Story About Me Feeling Stupid

I spent 25 years at IBM. I was a global VP of marketing and sales. I had my MBA. I had spent thirty years either studying business or actually executing on business strategy at the highest level.

I left corporate eight years ago, walked into the online business space, and I felt this big.

Because everything was complicated. Everything was overbuilt. Everything required another tool, another tech stack, another funnel, another course on how to build the funnel that was going to sell the course on how to build the funnel.

I went from feeling like a confident executive to feeling like I knew nothing.

The model was broken.

All the bros (no offense, bros) built an industry that looked a whole lot like the tech industry I came from — layered, complicated, tool-heavy, and completely disconnected from the thing we actually started our businesses for: serving our people.

The Survey That Told Me Everything

Back in January, we ran a survey inside a big free masterclass. Thousands of women, and a few good men. All of them starting, restarting, launching, or trying to grow coaching, consulting, advisory, mentoring, guiding, healing businesses.

87% of them wanted the same thing.

They wanted a multiple six-figure business. Not an empire.

Highly profitable — 50–65% margins. Very small team. Maybe a VA. Maybe one or two support people. Something meaningful. Something manageable. Something that created freedom, fulfillment and financially sound.

Only 13% wanted the empire. The seven figures and up. The big team. All the things.

Eighty-seven percent of you don’t want what the online coaching industry has been selling you for the last fifteen years. You want the simple six-figure business. You want consistent income without chaos. You want your life back.

And almost no one is speaking to that woman.

So I am. Loudly. Every day. On Substack.

The Old Way (Are You Ready for This?)

I made a visual with ChatGPT the other day because I wanted to show what most of you are currently drowning in. Picture a page covered in boxes. Each box is another piece of tech:

Email system. Course hosting. Community platform. Webinar software. Landing pages. Sales funnels. Checkout capability. Scheduling. Graphics. Video editing. Audio editing. Public podcast hosting. Private podcast hosting (different software). Lead magnets.

Social content — across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more, none of which talk to each other. Website. Analytics. VA support because it is literally impossible to manage all of this alone.

Who can relate?

Who is nodding so hard right now that their neck hurts?

And even if you got all that working, the buyer is savvy right now and wants nothing to do with being marketed and sold to that way.

She knows she’s in a funnel. She recognizes the webinar formula before the first slide loads. She sees the countdown timer reset when she reloads the page.

The buyer got smart. The emperor has no clothes. And every box on that left side of the page requires skill, time, energy, and money — none of which you have infinite amounts of.

The gold rush is over, my friend. From roughly 2014 to 2022, you could build a coaching business with a ring light, a Facebook ad, and a ClickFunnels account. That era had a beginning, a middle, and now an end. Every emerging market in the history of markets has the same arc: emergence, gold rush, maturation, reset, reinvention.

We are in the reset. And the reset is calling new leaders forward.

Over-Tilled Soil vs. Fertile Ground

Here’s the metaphor I keep thinking about.

What does a farmer do when her soil is over-tilled? When the minerals are depleted, when she’s pulled every nutrient out of the ground, when nothing will grow there no matter how hard she works?

She moves her crops to fertile ground.

Social media — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok — is over-tilled soil.

Best buyers are leaving those platforms because of the AI junk. It’s only going to get worse with AI-generated video flooding every feed. You cannot out-content the AI industrial content revolution. You cannot compete with machines that are creating content while you sleep.

So don’t.

Substack is the fertile ground.

I don’t know how long the soil will be fertile — I hope forever, I’m praying it’s forever, I’m obsessed with how simple it is — but right now, today, it is the place your dream client is actually reading. Actually listening. Actually paying. Actually staying.

Everything on the Left Can Be Done on the Right

Substack is an all in one. For free.

I want this to sink in because it is the single biggest mistake I see people making about Substack: they think it’s a newsletter platform.

It is not a newsletter platform.

Maybe it started as one. That is not what it is now.

Let me walk you through what Substack actually is. Ready?

Your email system. Built in. Automated.

Your course hosting. You can gate content, build tiers, deliver modules.

Your community platform. Chats. Threads. Paid-member-only spaces. Done.

Your webinar capability. Live video is native. You hit one button.

Your podcast. Public tier. Private (paid-only) tier. Auto-distributed.

Your landing pages. Your about page, your pricing page, your sales page — all on your Substack.

Your checkout. Built in. Subscribers upgrade with one tap.

Your video hosting. Your live auto-posts to YouTube. (I paid $5,000 in 2021 to a YouTube expert and gave up because it was too complicated. Now? One button. I don’t even think about it. Hell yeah.)

Your LinkedIn repurposing. Automatic. Your articles go. Your clips go. You don’t lift a finger.

Your website. Custom domain. Done. (I made julieciardi.com my Substack. That’s how all-in I am. That’s me walking the walk.)

And here’s the thing that makes me lose my mind every time I think about it: most of this is free until you’re making money.

Substack doesn’t take a cent until your paid tier starts generating revenue. And when it does, they take around 10%. That’s it. No $400/month software stack. No annual renewals. No VA hired specifically to duct-tape your tools together.

One platform. One learning curve. One login. One brain.

The Six-Figure Substack System

Now let’s talk about how you actually make money. Because yes, I want you to have a feel-good business. But I also want you to have a profitable business. You’re here for both.

I call this the Six Figure Substack System.

You have three jobs:

1. Marketing 2. Sales 3. Delivery

That’s the whole job description. Every single one of those can happen on Substack.

Stage 1: Your Free Soapbox

This is your public content. Free articles, free notes (Substack’s version of short-form), free lives, free podcasts. This is where you show up, give value, and let people find out who you are.

No algorithm roulette. No dancing. No trending audio. Just your voice and your depth and your people finding you.

And — this is the part I love — every single surface on Substack has an upgrade button built in. Every article. Every note. Every live. Every podcast. Zero friction. Zero salesy. Zero traditional-funnel energy.

Because here’s the culture of Substack: nobody thinks you’re salesy for having a paid tier. It’s expected. It’s normal. It’s why they came.

Compare that to Instagram, where everyone is hiding the sell until minute 42 of a webinar.

Stage 2: Your Paid Tier

Recurring revenue. Warm audience. Trust built before they ever hop on a call with you.

Your paid tier can be anything you want. Low ticket — $7/month, $79/year, whatever. Or higher ticket if your stuff is niched and nuanced and your people need exactly what you have. There’s a 20-something in New York City running a paid Substack for the FiDi financial district water cooler — Feed Me by Emily Sundberg — and she’s at nearly a million dollars a year on a $79/year paid tier.

You could model your entire business around just the paid tier if you wanted to. You do not need a high-ticket offer to build a multiple six-figure business on Substack.

But most of you will have one, so let’s talk about it.

Stage 3: Your Higher-Ticket Offers

One-on-one coaching. Group masterminds. Retreats. Signature programs. Consults (we call them magic sales calls around here).

Here is what has been impossible for most of you: selling high-ticket offers on Instagram. Because it is almost harder to sell a low-ticket thing on Instagram than a high-ticket thing. Because selling on any social platform is brutal right now. I have been in business for eight years and I will tell you: I have never closed a single dollar organically on Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn. Not one. I have sold masterclasses. But the organic-to-sale path? Nope, not once.

Now compare that to Substack.

Your reader finds your free article. She loves it. She upgrades to your paid tier the same day because the button was right there. She stays in your paid tier for three months, consuming your work, getting real value, building real trust. Then you run a paid-tier-only workshop or offer a consult. She books.

The stranger-to-curious-prospect-to-interested-buyer journey collapses from months to minutes.

Time is the currency of sales. Substack just gave you your time back.

Substack Becomes Your Sales Team

You want to know the wildest part?

People are coming into my paid tier every single day. Multiple people a day. Every day.

And I am not promoting it every day. Let me say that again — I am not promoting my paid tier every day.

Substack is doing it for me. Substack is my sales buddy. Substack is my sales team. Every article I publish, every note I post, every live I go on — every one of those surfaces has the upgrade button sitting right there, and the culture of the platform is built around people clicking it.

Your aura is your marketing. Your frequency is your funnel.

I mean it when I say it. Frequency over funnels. Clarity over complexity. Human over automated. Depth over performance.

Stop the Madness

If you are a coach, a consultant, a guide, a mentor, a healer — a woman who has real expertise and real wisdom and a real calling to serve — I do not want you spending one more week drowning on the left side of that diagram.

I don’t want you buying another tool.

I don’t want you watching another webinar on how to build the funnel to sell the course on how to run the ad.

I don’t want you competing with AI-generated content.

I want you on the fertile ground, early, while the company is still coming.

Because the company is coming. Best buyers are already migrating. Our top-performing ads right now? All about Substack. People are hungry for this. They are looking for something that doesn’t feel like a trick.

Be ready to receive them. Get your house ready. Assume your places. Start preparing for the company.

This Is the New Feminine Frequency

I’m going to get a little woo on you and I don’t care.

All the bros built the online business space. And they built it in their image — loud, hustle-based, algorithm-dependent, performance-heavy, trick-the-buyer-into-the-funnel.

That is not us.

Here is what I am doing instead:

I need to tell you something that might sound counterintuitive coming from someone who’s been in marketing for over 30 years.

I am done competing on social media. Done.

I built my multiple seven figure a year business without organic social for the last 6 years. I knew I didn’t want to be a full time content creator trying to beat an algorithm and gain followers.

But now? My conviction is deeper and I want to help so many more women end the madness and make the choice not to even attempt to compete in the new AI content marketing game.

The Industrial Revolution of Content Just Happened

Something shifted this year and it happened fast.

I literally just watched a well-known creator post a video of herself walking off a private jet, carrying her newborn, her little boy walking down the steps, husband behind her. It looked real. She looked real. The whole scene looked real.

It was AI. All of it.

She disclosed it, which is fine. But here’s the part that stopped me: she was promoting this. As in — go use AI to create videos like this. Put them everywhere. Flood the platforms. Scale your content to volumes we can’t even comprehend yet.

And I thought — we just entered the content factory era.

Think about it like the early 1900s. Before the industrial revolution, someone was making one car at a time. Then came the assembly lines, the production systems, the factories. And suddenly the throughput exploded. One became a hundred became a thousand.

That’s what’s happening right now with content. AI is the assembly line. One video becomes a hundred. One idea becomes fifty posts. And you don’t even need to show up anymore — AI will show up for you, looking eerily like you, saying things that sound like you.

I have zero desire to compete in that world. Not because I can’t. Because I don’t think my people want it.

My People Want Something Different

The women I work with — women near and over 50, high-achieving, brilliant, deeply competent — they don’t want more noise. They want connection. Real connection. Human-to-human conversations. Community. Transparency. Depth.

And if that’s what we want, we have to stop trying to win a game that was never built for us and go build on entirely different land.

The Soil Is Depleted

Here’s an analogy that hit me recently.

In farming, when you plant the same crop in the same soil year after year, the soil gets stripped. It loses its nutrients. It can’t produce good crops anymore because it’s been overused and never replenished.

That is what is happening on social media right now. The land is overused. The value is plummeting. And we’re all out there trying to plant our seeds in depleted soil while AI dumps ten thousand more seeds on top of ours every single day.

So I asked myself a simple question: Where is the fertile land?

The Answer, for Me, Is Substack

I moved my entire organic marketing engine to Substack. And my business is growing.

Now let’s talk about why podcasting should be in your main strategy. Not a side thing. Not a “nice to have.” Your main strategy.

Why Podcasting? Because It Works Across the Entire Client Journey.

This is the part most people miss - they think it is a front end to their business.

Podcasting isn’t just for discovery — although it’s incredible for that. A stranger finds your show, listens to a few episodes, and suddenly she feels like she knows you. That’s the magic of voice.

But it doesn’t stop there. Podcasting works for nurture — deepening the relationship with people who already know about you. It works for sales — you can create a private podcast series that walks someone through exactly why and how to work with you. It works for delivery — I have a daily podcast I create just for my clients.

Your job description is the client journey. Take a stranger, turn her into a curious prospect, get her to become an interested buyer, make her a raving client, and ultimately, a superfan. Podcasting can go across that entire journey.

And the cool thing? Substack can do all of it for you. But more on that in a minute.

The Top 5 Reasons Podcasting Should Be in Your Playbook

1. Simplicity

It has never been easier to podcast. Never.

There are many times I just pull out my phone, open my voice recording app, and start talking. Right now I’m behind my Yeti mic in my home office — sweatshirt on, hair up in a bun, 6:30 in the morning, no one awake in my house. This is not a production. This is a conversation.

And honestly? We’re a little turned off by the overly produced podcasts these days. The sound clips, the ads that cut in right when things are getting good — I’m over it. What I love is when someone is just talking to me. Having a real conversation through audio.

You don’t need a studio. You don’t need a team. You don’t need a degree in audio engineering. You need a mic (or your phone), your voice, and something to say.

If you can have a conversation, you can have a podcast. Consistency beats perfection. Every time.

2. Trust

This one is everything right now.

Podcast hosts are ranking just below friends and family when it comes to recommendations. Let that sink in. No other media channel comes close to that.

Over 30% of listeners purchase something they hear about on a podcast. Not because of some slick sales page — because of relationship. Because of time spent together. Because of the deep intimacy that gets built when someone listens to your voice, episode after episode.

We’ve moved out of the era of the 60-to-90-minute webinar song and dance. We’re all onto it. Now it’s about relationship and trust. And there is nothing — nothing — more powerful for building trust than someone hearing your voice. Your frequency. Over time.

Deep intimacy creates trust. Period.

3. Convenience

Your dream client has a lot going on. She’s juggling real life. Audio just fits.

Commutes. Walks. Cooking. Folding laundry. 87% of podcast listeners use a mobile device. We don’t need her eyes. We don’t need her full, undivided attention. We just need her ears.

You’re not asking her to sit down and watch something. You’re walking alongside her. Meeting her exactly where she is.

4. The Power of Voice — Your Soapbox

I say it all the time: don’t pick a niche, pick a soapbox.

Your podcast is your soapbox. Your voice carries conviction, warmth, and authority — things that email text, Instagram graphics, and captions simply cannot replicate. A podcast gives you an unfiltered platform to say what you actually believe.

No character limits. No algorithm deciding who sees it. No dancing for attention.

Nobody can hear the frequency of your voice in an Instagram caption. But they can hear it in a podcast. And that Instagram caption? An algorithm is deciding who gets to see it anyway.

5. Off Social Media

This is where I started this whole conversation, and it’s the big one.

You own your podcast. No algorithm is gatekeeping your reach. No platform is telling you your content is “too long” and probably won’t get much reach. (Yes, Instagram literally tells me this every time I post a video over three minutes. Every. Time.)

Our best buyers are spending less and less time on social media. I know I am — and I’m a lot of people’s best buyer.

If people are leaving social media, your organic content and your paid ads are going to perform less and less. Unless Meta figures out how to clean up the AI slop and bring some integrity back to the platform — which they could — I’m not going to sit around hoping and praying they do.

I’m taking my business into my own hands. And podcasting is how you do that. It’s your insurance policy.

3 Trends You Need to Know Right Now

Video Podcasting Is No Longer Optional

Now, I take a slightly different approach here. I don’t sit and video my podcast. Instead, I record my audio first — because it flows more naturally from my heart and intuition when I just speak — and then I create a live video about the same content (and here on Substack? It posts to Youtube automatically!).

The point is this: we are multimedia now. Audio and video. And when you combine them in a way that lets people consume however they choose, you win. Substack even connects to YouTube, so your videos can publish right from Substack. Find what works for you. There’s no one right way.

Your Podcast Is Your Content Engine

This is what I do. This is what I teach. And it is so incredibly powerful.

One episode becomes your content for the entire week. This audio becomes a Substack article, which goes out as a newsletter to my email list. Substack creates shareable social clips for me. I can pull the transcript and turn it into a written post. I can create notes from it. One great conversation multiplies into everything else.

Stop creating content from scratch every week. Start creating one great conversation and let it do the work.

Women Are the Fastest-Growing Podcast Audience

45% of U.S. women listened to a podcast in the last month — that’s a 15% increase year over year. And women are consuming an average of 9.5 episodes per week, compared to 7 for men.

Here is a back story about what I will be teaching tomorrow…

I’ve been in business since I was 18 years old.

I’m 51 now. That’s a long time.

I studied business in undergrad. Got my MBA. Spent years climbing inside one of the most recognized companies in the world — IBM — eventually leading large divisions, managing serious revenue, and understanding what true business is all about.

When I left at 42 to build my own thing, I thought I knew business.

What I did not know was the online space.

I felt like visiting a foreign land. Because the online space had convinced an entire generation of entrepreneurs that business was different online. And the perpetuation of 2 narratives have kept most entrepreneurs from true success.

Two Lies To Let Go Of

There are two things that created the chaos in the online entrepreneurial world, and they fed each other perfectly.

The first was the passive income myth. The promise that you could build a funnel, float in a pool, and wake up to sales.

Some version of “make money while you sleep” was sold to good, hardworking people who actually weren’t afraid to put in the work, but were convinced that you aren’t supposed to work hard in this online space!

And it was a lie.

Even when it worked for someone, it required enormous investment — time, money, energy — on the front end. The dream was never really what the gurus were promising.

The second lie involved all the ways to make that first lie happen.

The “go viral in 10 seconds” email. The “10K in 10 days” webinar. The endless parade of hacks designed to exploit a false narrative that people were already desperate to believe.

Those two things together created a perfect storm — the most profitable era in history to run a business, made nearly unreachable for the people who most needed it to work.

I see women come to us at the end of their rope every single week.

Tired. Spent. Having poured money and time and faith into strategies that produced nothing. And the painful part? It’s getting worse.

Organic reach on every platform continues to shrink. The algorithm wants your money, not your message.

I lived this myself. In 2018 and 2019, my marriage was on the rocks. I had left IBM. My business was making no money. We were living on my husband’s police officer salary with three kids, and I was chasing an online business based on lies.

That’s when I met Kelly Roach.

Why Kelly and I Clicked Immediately

Kelly came from the same world I did. Fortune 500 executive. Real business education. Real results inside massive organizations. And then she stepped into the online space and had the same reaction I did — what is happening here?

The difference between us in those early years is that Kelly’s Human Design allowed her to build her business while still working full time as an executive.

Mine didn’t. I had to leave first, then build — which meant I felt the pressure in a way she didn’t. But she had her own version of it. The frustration of knowing she was capable, doing everything “right,” and still not seeing the results she knew were possible.

So she went back to basics.

And when I found Kelly and started working with her, I went back to basics too.

In 2020, I closed $400K in revenue. In 2021, I hit a million.

Then I got distracted. People with seven and eight figure businesses came to me in 2022 and said — you’re working too hard. Let us set up the funnels. Let us automate this.

So I paid for the funnels. I paid for the automations. And my revenue went from a million in 2021 to $700K, then $500K — with a team I now had to support.

I knew something had to change.

2024 and 2025 were the turning point. Human Design came into my business and I rewired everything. And I started working with Kelly again. Back to basics. No more chasing the same damn lies.

The growth we had in 2025 was explosive. And it came from doing the unsexy, timeless things that actually work.

The Room Where It All Clicked

Last week I was at Kelly Roach’s mastermind — her Legacy Leaders program for seven and eight figure business owners. She was debuting her new book, The Miracle Hour, coming out at the end of April.

She was teaching the room about what’s shifting in the market. About where things are going. And I sat there nodding at nearly everything, because we see this so similarly it’s almost eerie.

When she started talking about The Miracle Hour — the system she’s been using and teaching for over a decade, the same system she used in corporate to become a Fortune 500 executive, and then used again to build her business while still working full time — I stood up. I had the mic. And I said:

Kelly, I just want to acknowledge you. This is the moment for The Miracle Hour.

Not because it’s new. It’s two decades old. She’s been talking about it for ten years. She used it for ten years before that.

I said: the timing of its relevancy right now is what we’d call Kairos time. Not chronological time. Kairos — divine time. The moment a thing was made for.

Why Right Now Is Different

Social media is becoming one of the worst places to try to grow a transformational business.

It is full of AI-generated content. AI bots. Outrage. Entertainment. Products. It will continue to work for consumer brands, for entertainment, for style and shopping. But for the woman who teaches, coaches, leads, transforms? It is getting harder by the month.

Kelly said something in that room that landed like a brick: she is building her arc to leave social media. Like Noah’s Ark. The day she said it, I had literally just recorded a podcast episode making the same point in different words.

Our best buyers are spending less time on Instagram and Facebook. Read that again.

Whether you’re trying to grow organically or you’re running paid ads, this is a real problem. If the people most likely to invest in your work are leaving those platforms, you need a different approach to reach them.

The Miracle Hour is one of those approaches. It is not some new crazy system, it is back to basics business discipline.

One focused, protected, intentional hour a day. The kind of hour that most online business advice has trained you to believe you don’t need, because the funnel is supposed to do it for you.
